Governor Keating says Texas Governor George W. Bush has sufficiently answered questions about his drug use.
Keating -- a Republican and strong Bush supporter -- appeared on A-B-C's "This Week" today. Keating says that as far as he's concerned, what somebody did in college doesn't matter -- as long as he didn't kill somebody.
New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson was on N-B-C's "Meet the Press" to discuss rumors of past cocaine use dogging Bush as he campaigns for the Republican presidential nomination.
Johnson says telling the truth works. He says it's hard to damage anyone who's willing to be truthful regardless of the consequences.
In his case, Johnson says owning up to past drug use turned out to be "a non-event."
