(Santa Monica, California-AP) -- A lawyer for the Globe tabloid
calls a lawsuit from Michael Landon's widow "frivolous."

The widow of the "Bonanza" and "Little House on the Prairie"
star, Cindy Landon, is suing the tabloid newspaper for portraying
the couple's marriage as troubled.

Cindy Landon filed a five (m) million dollar defamation and
invasion of privacy suit. She claims the Globe "painted a false
and scurrilous picture" of Landon -- and that the paper falsely
accused him of involvement with drugs and porn.

Michael Landon, who also starred in the series "Highway to
Heaven," died of cancer in 1991.
