Boeing employees start their weekend with pink slips.

A thousand workers at Boeing's Tulsa facility and 200 workers at the Boeing McAlester plant have been served with layoff notices, but the company says it's just a technicality.

The layoffs have been in the works since the Canadian-based Onex bought Boeing's plants in Oklahoma and Kansas. Boeing says it's just part of paperwork to release its employees before they can be re-hired by Onex.

Still, some Boeing employees say they're skeptical that all former-Boeing workers will be re-hired.
