The 6th grade class at St Pius School in Tulsa wrapped up their Space Week celebrations Friday with a mock mission.
Earlier this week, the students built a mock version of a Space Shuttle, the International Space Station and mission control in their gym. They used plastic tarp, PVC pipe, and a lot of duct tape.
Science teacher Mary Jo Othon: "We throw in both math and science, measured it all out, and constructed it. Great, rolled into one."
Friday’s mock mission, with costumes and scripts, was performed in front of the entire school.
