Tulsa Police are investigating the burglary of a local dance studio. About 1:30 AM Thursday, officers responded to an alarm at Checkers Dance and Gymnastics Shop at 61st and Memorial.

When they arrived, they found the front door smashed in and the cash box missing.

A few minutes later, a gunman tried to rob the Kum and Go convenience store at 71st and Garnett. Officers say the suspect apparently got scared off without any money when a customer entered the store.

No one has been arrested.
