STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State exploded for eight runs in the first inning and then cruised to a 23-3 win Saturday over Binghamton at Reynolds Stadium.
The Cowboys (6-3) jumped on Binghamton starter Scott Diamond, who gave up eight runs before getting pulled in the first inning.
Rusty Ryal went 4-for-7 with three RBIs for the Cowboys, while teammate Chris Gutierrez went 3-for-4 with five RBIs, including a three-run homerun in the third inning.
Brae Wright (2-0) scattered four hits and allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings en route to the win. Diamond (0-1) took the loss for Binghamton (0-2).
