The Tulsa Fire Department has a new program to honor firefighters and citizens who go beyond the call of duty.
They've started giving out awards for "fire company of the month" and "citizen of the month". January's winner is Fire Truck 30, and Engine 30, Platoon B. They volunteered on their day off to deliver Christmas gifts to folks in need.
The ladies who organized the project, Marlow Dean and Betty Loney[pictured], were honored Monday with the "Citizens of the Month" award for January.
