STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Chris Pendleton won a decision in the 174-pound weight class to help top-ranked Oklahoma State (15-0, 3-0) score a 31-9 victory over No. 19 Missouri in college wrestling.
Pendleton beat second-ranked Chris Askren Friday night, getting the only takedown of the match just 40 seconds into it.
OSU started with six points on the board because Missouri (13-4, 0-2) forfeited at 125 pounds. The Cowboys won the next three matches to take an 8-0 lead.
The Cowboys extended their advantage on a decision by Nathan Morgan, a technical fall by Daniel Frishkorn and a major decision by Zack Esposito, but the Tigers won the next two matches to cut the lead to 18-6.
Victories by three OSU wrestlers put the score out of reach for Missouri.
The Cowboys return to the mat Saturday night to face Oregon State and Oregon in a double dual at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
