MULDROW, Okla. (AP) -- Six Arkansans and one Kansan were arrested in a cockfighting raid in eastern Oklahoma.
Sequoyah County deputies arrested the seven and seized video cameras and an undisclosed amount of money at a building north of Muldrow.
The seven arrested are all free on $1,500 bond and District Attorney Richard Gray says charges of participating in cockfighting and operating a cockfight will be filed later this week.
Gray says this is the first cockfighting raid in Sequoyah County since state voters banned the blood sport in November 2002.
There have been at least two other cockfighting raids in the state. Three people were arrested in Oklahoma County last April and given probation.
Six people were arrested in Cotton County in June, their cases are pending.
