This week, the News on 6 told you about a New York company called Edifi that is hosting college financial aid seminars in Tulsa this weekend.

The company claims they offer help to students find financial aid. But some consumers complained to the Tulsa Better Business Bureau about the company, saying they were charged hundreds of dollars just to help fill out forms.

The News on 6 did reach an official with Edifi by phone. He said the complaints represent less than one-tenth of 1% of all their clients.

He added that the Better Business Bureau does not investigate the complaints to find out if they have merit. And he compares college financial aid forms to filling out your tax forms.

He says you can do both yourselves, but that millions of people get help with their taxes and he says some choose to pay for help with their college forms too.
