A Tulsa man is in custody after leading police on a 45 minute search early Tuesday morning. It started when an officer tried to stop the man for a traffic violation.

The man reportedly sped up and ran a couple of stop signs in a residential area before stopping at a relative's house. He then ran off on foot.

The Tulsa Police helicopter was called in to help in the search. The man finally called relatives to say he'd give up, which he did. Officers waited for him as he surrendered.
