MIAMI, Okla. (AP) _ A 24-year-old Wyandotte man is found dead in his Ottawa County jail cell.

Sheriff officials say William Gammill was found hanging in a one-man holding cell at about 7:30 Sunday morning.

Chief of detectives Bob Ernst says the department is continuing its investigation into Gammill's death. He says Gammill's body was sent to the Tulsa Medical Examiner's Office yesterday as part of the investigation.

Gammill was arrested Saturday after deputies went to the home he shared with his wife south of Wyandotte. According to a sheriff's report, Julie Ann Gammill told deputies her husband had forced her down in her front yard after she confronted him about drinking and driving.
