OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Oklahoma Gas and Electric is being honored for helping restore power outages in the southeastern US and in Texas.

The Edison Electric Institute says OG&E has won the Emergency Assistance Award for helping after four hurricanes hit the southeastern United States and after storms last summer in the Dallas area.

OG&E repair crews worked more than 50,000 hours and traveled about 336,000 miles to help rebuild electrical systems.
