CHANDLER, Okla. (AP) -- The state fire marshal's office is investigating a fire in the Lincoln County jail allegedly started by an inmate.

No one was injured in the Tuesday night fire, but the building was evacuated when smoke set off the jail's fire alarm. The sheriff's office says the blaze caused minor smoke damage in the jail.

Zarin Ridley of Chandler is accused of setting fire to a shower curtain, mattress cover and blanket in his cell.

Ridley was in jail on a second-degree burglary charge and for violating his probation on a previous conviction of possession of stolen property.
