NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- When fraternity members at the University of Oklahoma return home for the holidays this week, they're being asked to take their alcohol with them.
The drying of frat houses comes after the OU regents voted earlier this month to ban alcohol from fraternities and residence halls. The move follows the alcohol-poisoning death of a fraternity pledge in September.
Fraternity presidents are responsible for making sure there is no alcohol in the houses when members return for the spring semester.
OU's Kappa Sigma chapter President Bill Ross says he's telling members alcohol will not be allowed in the house when they come back.
Ross and other fraternity leaders say they expect few problems with the new ban.
