CUSHING, Okla. (AP) _ A Cushing teenager is killed in a single-vehicle accident in Payne County.

18-year-old Lisa -M- Ray suffered head, internal and external injuries when she was thrown from her car after it ran off Oklahoma Highway 18 about 1:10 Monday afternoon.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Ray overcorrected when the car ran off the road and the vehicle rolled as she tried to get back on the highway.

Ray was pronounced dead at a Cushing hospital.

Her mother, Barbara -J- Ray, was treated at the hospital and released.

The patrol says Lisa Ray wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
