Tulsa homicide detectives are looking for answers in a bizarre murder case, where the victim was dismembered and his remains dumped in at least two different places.

28-year-old Jeff Calderon is the victim, the suspect is 51-year-old Alfredo Rodriguez[pictured].

As News on 6 reporter Steve Berg explains, Tulsa Police still aren't sure how the two men knew each other or why one would want to kill the other.

Police were led to I-244 and Garnett on Friday night by the suspect Alfredo Rodriguez, but they indicate he might not be the only one involved.

Tulsa Police Sgt Mike Huff: "Still under investigation as to who may have assisted him in disposal of the body, so that investigation is still underway." Police are also talking to people who knew the victim, Jeff Calderon. He had worked at this Bixby restaurant since February, after we're told he was honorably discharged from the military, where he was a Blackhawk crew chief serving in Afghanistan. While he was there, he sent this flag to his friend and boss at the restaurant.

Co-workers say Calderon was always upbeat, good at cheering people up. They say they don't know how he knew the suspect or the 18-year-old woman who police say witnessed and reported the crime.

Tulsa Police say there are some things they can't talk about and some things they simply don't know. "I know that there is an association between all 3 people over a period of time, so don't know exactly what it was. Y’know we're still trying to figure that out." Some media reports describe the 51-year-old suspect and the 18-year-old woman as boyfriend and girlfriend, but Sgt. Huff says they're yet not sure if that's actually the case. Tulsa Police just say it happened over an argument about a woman.

Police say Calderon's family is from Texas. His co-workers say the family has already been here to get his belongings.
