A Tulsa Police officer was involved in a traffic accident early Friday morning. It happened shortly before 2:30 AM Friday.

The officer had the green Light at 36th and Harvard and was going through the intersection. That's when the driver of an SUV ran his red light, hitting the officer. The SUV driver tried to run off. The officer managed to chase him down and arrest him.

That driver was taken to the hospital for treatment. The officer was shaken up, but will be okay.
