TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) _ A mental evaluation has found that an Oklahoma man is competent to stand trial on chargest that he shot two women in Arkansas and one in his home state.
Prosecutors in both states say they'll seek the death penalty for 29-year-old Mickey David Thomas of Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Geraldine Jones of Broken Bow was killed June Twelfth, and two days later, Mona Lee Shelton of Grannis and Donna Marie Cary of Gillham were shot at Shelton's store in De Queen.
Thomas' mental evaluation was conducted last month by Michael J- McAllister. He found that Thomas understood what he was doing at the time. The report also describes in detail how Thomas allegedly killed the Arkansas women when he was trying to rob Shelton's monument store.
