OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The superintendent of the Mid-Del school district said she will recommend the firing of a teacher who was arrested on complaints of lewd acts with a child.

The school board will meet Dec. 20 to discuss the employment status of Steed Elementary School teacher Kenneth Richard Freer. Superintendent Cheryl Steele said she plans to recommend Freer's dismissal.

Freer, 44, was arrested Nov. 4 after a videotape was presented to Midwest City police allegedly showing Freer engaging in sexual contact with a 10-year-old boy, police said.

Freer, who has worked for the district for 12 years, has been suspended with pay and is being held in the Oklahoma County jail on $120,000 bail.
