With just over a week before election day a new poll shows Democrat Brad Carson leading Republican Tom Coburn by 7 points in the race for the U.S. Senate.

The News On 6 and the Tulsa World joined forces for Oklahoma Poll with response from 750 statewide registered voters

Statewide
Brad Carson 47%
Tom Coburn 40%

The poll shows Carson ahead with 47% to Coburn's 40%.

Statewide Tulsa
Brad Carson 47% 48%
Tom Coburn 40% 39%

In Tulsa Carson leads Coburn 48 to 39.

Statewide Tulsa OKC
Brad Carson 47% 48% 43%
Tom Coburn 40% 39% 43%

In OKC they’re tied at 43%.


Rest of State
Brad Carson 51%
Tom Coburn 38%

But look at the difference outside of the state's two largest cities. Carson leads 51 to 38.

Another poll shows the two candidates virtually tied statewide. While still another has Coburn with a 7-point lead.

Undecided 13% 13% 14%

The key will be the undecided vote. In our latest poll, 13% of voters still say they're uncommitted in this race.

And, the largest number of undecided voters count themselves as "moderates" or conservatives.
