Color Oklahoma hopes to add some color to sooner state highways.
Today, the non-profit group donated a new wildflower drill seeder to the Department of Transportation. The seeder replaces one of two 13-year-old seeders that are worn out. The beautification office will use the new seeder during this fall's sowing season.
Jack Stafford/ODOT "The machine is so precise...beautiful sophisticated machine that can plant three types of flowers at one time."
The first planting is scheduled in Tulsa. The state also received a 10-thousand dollar grant for seeds.
