We've been asking for rain and did we ever get it! Heavy rains flooded streets and intersections in much of the Tulsa metro area Thursday night.

Mother Nature dumped so much rain; it caused traffic to come to a crawl and in some places a complete stop. Tulsa Police responded to several cars that stalled in the flooded streets and intersections.

Local power companies are also blaming heavy winds and lightening for about 5,000 power outages scattered around the metro.
