The Oklahoma Department of Labor announced plans Wednesday for a new water park inspection program. Inspections could start as early as next month. The plan came about as a result of a recent slide collapse at Tulsa's Big Splash water park. An 11-year-old Broken Arrow girl was inside the Master Blaster ride at the time, but was not hurt.
The Department of Labor inspects amusement park rides, but until now has not been responsible for water parks.
