TU football players are taking their game off the field and into the children's hospital at Saint Francis. We caught up with some of the players Wednesday. It turns out, every Wednesday the guys suit up and head to the hospital. The players say the visits are equally as valuable to the them as it is to the children.
"The diversity that we face each day, I'll run out of gas or can't pay the bill, these kids don't have long, and they're struggling, and they need some kind of help. Once you view those type of situations, it makes all your situations so, so tiny," said TU football player Walter Boyd.
They say that most of the children they visit are struggling with a terminal illness.
