OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- An administrative law judge is recommending Public Service Company of Oklahoma be allowed to raise electric rates by between $9 million and $23 million. PSO spokesman Stan Whiteford says an average customer would pay about $3.55 more each month under that proposal.
The recommendation from Law Judge Jacqueline Miller will be considered by the state Corporation Commission when it considers PSO's increase request later this month.
The increase would be less than half of the nearly $48 million PSO is requesting. But it apparently rejects Attorney General Drew Edmondson's argument that rates should be reduced by almost $17.5 million.
The Corporation Commission staff is recommending PSO rates by cut by more than $9 million.
