Tulsa Police have arrested a man who assaulted a police officer overnight. Police say it all started with a disturbance call at a QuikTrip on 71st Street. When police officers arrived at the QuikTrip, the suspects left.
The suspects were spotted in a vehicle about a mile away and the driver, Joshua Roper was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Tulsa Police say the passenger in the vehicle, identified as Eddieson Taeoalii assaulted a police officer and ran off as he was being handcuffed. Taeoalii reportedly on leave from the military.
Tulsa Police searched the area on the ground and with the police helicopter, but could not find Taeoalii. Taeoalii turned himself in late Thursday morning.
