NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma Sooners football team is ranked Number Seven in an annual football preview publication.

Athlon Sports has the Sooners in the seven spot in its daily online countdown of its top 25. Today, it named the returning national champion Florida Gators to its sixth spot. Athlon's top five teams haven't been announced.

The Sooners have four players on Athlon's All-Big 12 first team -- punt returner Reggie Smith, receiver Malcolm Kelly, offensive lineman Duke Robinson and kicker Garrett Hartley.

Athlon predicts OU to finish second in the Big 12 South behind Texas.
