OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Oklahomans who'll be on the road during the coming holiday weekend are likely to have to deal with several road construction projects. State Department of Transportation spokeswoman Terri Angier says there are 75 projects under way that will affect traffic although work will be suspended on many for the weekend.
That's about 35 more than Memorial Day weekend last year.
The work includes Interstate 40 in Oklahoma City and Yukon and on U.S. Highways 412 and 64 in the Tulsa area.
There is also construction on I-44 in Lawton and on I-35 near Ardmore and in Kay County.
Other work is on the Will Rogers Turnpike in Mayes and Craig counties; the Cimarron Turnpike and the Indian Nation Turnpike in Pittsburg County.
