FOYIL, Okla. (AP) -- A 17-year-old Chelsea girl is killed when the vehicle she's riding in hits an embankment and rolls, pinning her beneath the wreckage.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Alicia Patterson was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, where she was pronounced dead.
Patterson was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 16-year-old Jessica Marshall of Chelsea. Marshall was driving south on a Rogers County road about 11:30 last night when she ran off the roadway, hit an embankment and flipped the vehicle.
Patterson was pinned under the wreckage for about 30 minutes.
Marshall was ejected from the vehicle and taken to a Tulsa hospital in serious condition.
