TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- No matter his role, Chance Chapman has been dominant on the mound for Oral Roberts this season.
He's been a starting pitcher, middle-inning reliever and closer, and coach Rob Walton calls him the Golden Eagles' go-to guy.
Chapman won his fourth straight decision today to move to 7-1 on the season. He has an ERA well below two and ranks among the nation's leaders with 114 strikeouts.
Earlier this season, he set the school record with 17 strikeouts in a game -- and then he came back and broke that record with 19 strikeouts against Centenary last week.
Chapman says he'll get in a zone where he feels really confident his pitches just won't miss their target.
Now, the 6-foot-4 right-hander is drawing looks from major league scouts.
