ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) _ Dutch and Aruban investigators on Saturday went to the house of two brothers who were once suspects in the 2005 disappearance of an Alabama teenager, the Aruban prosecutors' office said.
The investigators conducted what they termed an ``inspection'' of the property where Surinamese brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe live with their parents, a spokeswoman for the prosecutors' office, Vivian van der Biezen, told The Associated Press. Nothing was seized from the home and no further details were released, the prosecutors' office said in a statement.
An inspection aims to analyze ``a specific place or circumstances under which a criminal offense may have been committed'' or to establish facts in a criminal case, the statement said.
Natalee Holloway, from Mountain Brook, Alabama, vanished during a school trip to the Dutch Caribbean island on May 30, 2005. She was last seen leaving a bar with the Kalpoe brothers and Joran van der Sloot, another former suspect.
The Kalpoe brothers were in the home in Hooiberg, east of the capital of Oranjestad, when investigators arrived Saturday morning. They objected to the action and were escorted from the property by officers, van der Biezen said.
She added the inspection lasted about an hour, but could not say what investigators were seeking.
Last month, investigators from the Netherlands dug up earth outside the home of van der Sloot, reviving the case of Holloway, who was 18 when she disappeared on the last day of a five-day vacation on Aruba to celebrate her high school graduation with 124 other students.
Paulus van der Sloot, Joran's father, told a Dutch television program that investigators seized diary notes and letters from him and his wife, as well as a personal computer that was returned later.
