OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A former legislator who resigned his House seat from Tulsa County in 2003 for a military tour of duty in Afghanistan has a new job.
Forty-five-year-old Hopper Smith has been named president of the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs, a conservative think tank in Oklahoma City.
OCPA chairman David Brown says Smith, who served as colonel in the Oklahoma National Guard, has an impressive track record of military and civic leadership.
