TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) -- Fourteen fans have been permanently banned from buying tickets at Talladega Superspeedway following their arrests for throwing objects on the track after Jeff Gordon's victory in the Aaron's 499.
According to the Talladega County Sheriff, the fans were charged with disorderly conduct Sunday and posted bond at the track's jail facilities.
Track officials cannot prevent the 14 fans from buying tickets through a third party.
After Gordon won Sunday's race under caution to pass Dale Earnhardt in career wins, a number of fans began throwing beer cans and other objects over the fence separating the grandstands from the track.
