Two suspects are arrested after Tulsa Police find a meth lab in a storage building overnight. Police officers were called to 37th and Olympia around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday. The owners of Beeline Storage alerted Tulsa Police after an employee watched meth being cooked in a storage unit at the back of the complex. That prompted Tulsa Police to move in and raid the suspected meth lab.
"Two white males made a short attempt to flee on foot, but were apprehended shortly thereafter. At that point, officers immediately detected the odor associated with the cooking of methamphetamine," says Tulsa Police Sgt. Michael Brown.
A Tulsa Fire hazardous material unit and Tulsa Police drug officers were called in to clean up and investigate. Officials say this type of activity is very dangerous in a confined area, because the gases from the meth lab process are extremely toxic and flammable.
