IRVING, Texas (AP) _ Safety Abram Elam and defensive tackle Montavious Stanley agreed Tuesday to one-year contracts with the Dallas Cowboys for the 2007 season.

Elam played in 15 games last season, primarily as a backup safety and a special teams player. He returned 4-kickoffs for 95 yards and had 11-special teams tackles.

Stanley, a 6th-round pick by the Cowboys in 2006, returned to Dallas when he was claimed off waivers from Jacksonville in November. Stanley was inactive for the rest of the season with Dallas.

The Cowboys released Stanley on September 2, and he signed to the St. Louis practice squad. Stanley was signed by Jacksonville ten days later and played in three of his eight games with the Jaguars before being put on waivers.
