Mayor Taylor Celebrates A Year In Office

One year ago, Kathy Taylor took the reigns of Tulsa, becoming the cityâ€™s 38th mayor. Mayor Taylor told The News On 6 that in her second year she'll continue to focus on education, economic development and public safety.

â€œWe want it to be a safe city; we will continue to focus on supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs. We really think that's where the city can make a huge impact," she said.

Taylor is only the second woman in the city's history to hold the position.
