WEATHERFORD, Okla. (AP) Woody Roof is taking over as Weatherford High School's head football coach -- the third time Roof's been hired for the position.

Roof replaces Rob Renshaw, who was reassigned within the district at the end of last season.

Roof's first stint as head coach at Weatherford was from 1985 to 1992, and he returned from 1999 to 2003. His combined record at Weatherford is 114-45.

Outside of Weatherford, Roof also led Watonga to two state championships and Elk City to a state title and a runner-up finish.

Roof also will serve as Weatherford's athletic director.
