MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) After breaking out of their slump with a win Monday night over the worst team in the Eastern Conference, the New Orleans Hornets hope a meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies will help spur their playoff run Tuesday night.
The 30-37 Hornets and the 17-50 Grizzlies will meet up at FedEx Forum in Memphis at 7 p.m. Memphis has the worst record in the NBA.
New Orleans routed Boston 106-88 Monday behind the team's best shooting performance in more than a month. The Hornets went 40-76 from the field -- their highest percentage since making a season-high 57.7% in a win over Sacramento on February 14th.
Memphis is hoping to win consecutive games for the first time this season.
The Grizzlies surprised the Chicago Bulls 104-103 on Saturday, as Mike Miller made the go-ahead free throw with just over 4 seconds remaining.
