The Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly accident on Interstate-244 near Mingo Monday afternoon. Troopers say a car, traveling eastbound on I-244, clipped a pickup truck forcing it to cross the center median into westbound traffic. That truck hit a westbound minivan then slammed into a box truck, said authorities.
The driver of the pick-up died, three others were taken to Tulsa hospitals. Two are listed in critical condition; the third is in fair condition.
All lanes of Interstate-244 are open.
