A Green Country soldier is home from Iraq. Excited family members welcomed home U.S. Army Specialist Lacy Romero at Tulsa International Airport Thursday afternoon. She's on two weeks leave from Iraq. Romero is stationed near Tikrit and works to keep the Army's Apache helicopters running.
Now that she's back in Tulsa, Romero is looking forward to the comforts of home. "Eat mom’s cookin. Eat real food. Sleep in a bed bigger than a twin size or a cot. That's pretty much it. Just do nothing."
Romero's husband is serving his fourth tour of duty in Iraq. He's also scheduled to come home soon.
