TALALA, Okla. (AP) -- A stowaway on a Union Pacific train is dead after falling from the train and being dragged for about a mile.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the body of the unidentified Hispanic man was found about 12:45 Wednesday morning along railroad tracks north of Talala in Rogers County.
Investigators say the man was illegally on board the train and had apparently been drinking when he fell.
The engineer and conductor of the train were unaware of the accident and continued on to Coffeyville, Kansas, and the body was discovered by a second train as it passed through the area.
The body is being sent to the state medical examiner in Tulsa in an attempt to identify
