MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) _ Kansas State's 2007 football coaching staff was completed Tuesday with the naming of Greg Burns as defensive backs coach, coach Ron Prince announced.

Burns was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defensive backs coach last season and has 10 years coaching experience.

Before Tampa Bay, Burns was Southern California's secondary coach from 2002 to 2005. While at USC, Burns helped coach the Trojans to a four-year record of 48-4 that included four straight BCS bowl berths.

Burns fills a hole left by Wesley McGriff, who took a coaching job at Miami in February, about a month after agreeing to be the Wildcats' defensive backs coach.

Burns graduated from Washington State and was a two-year starter as a defensive back for the Cougars.
