Troy Aikman, Thurman Thomas On College Football Hall Of Fame Ballot

DALLAS (AP) _ One-time Oklahoma quarterback Troy Aikman and former Oklahoma State running back Thurman Thomas are among the candidates on this year's College Football Hall of Fame ballot.

Both are already in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Aikman grew up in Henryetta and played at OU before transferring to UCL-A. Thomas was an All-American at OSU.

Other Oklahomans on the ballot are former OU center Tom Brahaney, OU running back Clendon Thomas and former Tulsa coach John Cooper.

The Hall of Fame class will be announced May ninth and the induction ceremony will be in December.
