OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Lyndsey Medders scored a season-high 27 points, including a 3-pointer that forced overtime, as the Cyclones beat Nebraska 79-to-76 in Big 12 Conference women's action Wednesday.
Fifth-seeded Iowa State (24-7) advanced to play top-seeded and Number 13 Texas A&M in the semifinals Thursday. 4th-seeded Nebraska (22-9) likely is bound for the NCAA tournament.
Medders' off-balance 3-pointer with 1.7 seconds left in regulation tied the game at 70-70. Nebraska went ahead 72-70 on a basket by Danielle Page, but Medders put Iowa State ahead for good with a 3-pointer with 3:33 left.
Nebraska's Kiera Hardy missed a 3-point attempt from the top of the key as the overtime buzzer sounded.
Kelsey Griffin led Nebraska with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Page and Hardy scored 16 points apiece.
