An overnight power outage leaves thousands of customers in eastern Oklahoma in the dark. The outage started at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday and according to OG&E, it affected 5,600 customers in the Sapulpa,Tuesday, March 6th 2007, 6:24 am

An overnight power outage leaves thousands of customers in eastern Oklahoma in the dark. The outage started at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday and according to OG&E, it affected 5,600 customers in the Sapulpa, Kellyville and Kiefer areas.
OG&E officials say two electric substations went down. That affected mostly residential customers, but some commercial customers as well. After about an hour, service was restored.
There is no word on what caused the outages.
OG&E keeps an updated list of power outages on its website at www.oge.com.
