KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Kansas may not be through cutting down the nets just yet.
The Big 12 champion Jayhawks performed the joyous ritual Saturday after beating Texas 90-to-86.
Now the third-ranked team in the country heads to Oklahoma City as Number 1 seed in the Big 12 tournament that starts Thursday.
Even more importantly, they're in great position to nab a Number One seed in the NCAA tourney that'll begin the following week and end in the national championship game on April 2nd.
The Jayhawks finished the season 27-and-4 overall and 14-and-2 in the Big 12, one game in front of eighth ranked Texas A&M and two in front of the Number 15 Longhorns.
