FORT SILL, Okla. (AP) Some 200 U.S. Army soldiers have returned to Fort Sill after serving in Afghanistan for three months.
The soldiers from the the 2nd Battalion, 18th Field Artillery, were welcomed back Monday at Fort Sill's Rinehart Physical Fitness Center.
Five of the soldiers were commended for their bravery in an incident near Kabul, when a vehicle rammed the front gate at Camp Phoenix.
The soldiers arrested the vehicle's occupants and found several hundred pounds of explosives inside, officials at Fort Sill said.
