A court hearing for 54-year-old John Special of Stillwater has been delayed until August. Special was scheduled to appear in a Delaware County courtroom Monday. Special faces negligent homicide charges stemming from a fatal boating accident.
The two-boat collision happened July 30th last year on Grand Lake. The accident killed Murray McGarvey of Georgia.
McGarvey was thrown overboard from a boat driven by Jason Bandy. Bandy was seriously injured, and he also faces negligent homicide charges.
