MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) The Muskogee County District Attorney's office says the Hilldale school board didn't violate the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act.

A resident filed a complaint alleging that the board's agenda wasn't posted at the high school library where the meetings are held.

District Attorney Larry Moore said that agendas are posted at the elementary school as well as at the administration office, which meets the requirement because the administration office is the Board of Education's primary office.

The statute says the public notice should be posted in prominent public view at the principal office of the public body or at the location of the meeting.

Superintendent DB Merrill has been criticized for suspending popular high school Principal Dewayne Pemberton.
